There
is a distinct difference between off roader's and overland
travellers.
In our view an 'off roader' seeks a challenge to drive
the vehicle in places that test their ability. An overland
driver, whilst enjoying off roading, is more concerned
in driving his vehicle from one location to another
but with both human and vehicle safety being his prime
responsibility. If an overlander breaks his vehicle,
he relies on his vehicle being fully prepared for sleeping,
cooking and general survival, and he could be putting
human life at risk, whereas an off roader generally
plays with colleagues in less remote locations. Hence
the vehicle preparation varies accordingly.

Suspension
Upgrades
These are becoming more popular, not only as a way
to improve the on road handling of your vehicle,
but also to enable off road driving to be more sure-footed.
The difference in handling is remarkable. We can
offer a range of equipment for beginners right through
to full blown expedition preparation. |

Improving
Gearing (Land Rover only)
We can fit either the GKN overdrive, or our own gearbox
modification, to enable you to cruise at speed but with
lower revs. This aids fuel economy as well as making
for a more relaxed drive.
 |
Winching
We can supply and fit either WARN or Superwinch
winches, together with a number of alternative winch
mounting bumpers. We also stock a range of winching
accessories, such as strops, shackles, snatch blocks
and chains. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. |
Protection
We can supply a wide range of protection accessories,
both for your vehicle body and its underside. These
are of particular interest to farmers and off-roaders,
although some of them have become desirable because
they enhance the appearance of the vehicle.
Raised
Air Intake
We recommend Safari snorkels for fitting to all
Land Rover/Range Rover/Discovery with the exception
of the new shape Range Rover. The two main advantages
gained through fitting a raised air intake are firstly,
to guarantee that no water is drawn into the engine
whilst the vehicle is deep water wading and secondly,
while driving through extremely dusty conditions
the engine will be able to draw cleaner air through
the raised air intake. |

Roof
Racks
We can supply roof racks to fit all Land Rover vehicles
and suit every application.. Roof racks can be supplied
to expedition specification including spot lamp mounting
brackets, 4x jerry can carrying frames, sand ladder
mounting brackets and had tool mounting brackets.

Hi-lift
Jacks
Hi-Lift is a rugged highly versatile jack that puts
you in command of situations that may require the
lifting of trucks or farm equipment, winching or
post pulling. This jack has a 7000 lb capacity and
is available in 36", 42", 48" and
60" models. |
Sand
Ladders
We can supply high quality new aluminium sand ladders
and all necessary mounting brackets if you wish to mount
this type of equipment on your vehicle or roof rack.
It is highly recommended that if you are planning an
overland trip into a sparsely populated third world
situation where it is likely that you will experience
soft terrain such as sand or mud that you carry at least
one pair of sand ladders. |
